Tonight we have a bit of a leap into the dark. John Campbell is the Dean’s Verger at Lincoln Cathedral.
He has the reputation of being very entertaining and humorous. He has a wealth of experience, having served as Dean’s Verger at four of our great Cathedrals, but not Chester.
He talk is entitled ‘Close Encounters of the Ecclesiastical Kind’ which will be an irreverent and humorous view of the experiences of a lifetime in the service of the Church.
He also does another talk where he has a bag of objects, each of which ‘tells a tale’ We’ve asked him to bring that along with him, as we imagine that it will be a pretty relaxed evening and that it could be a bit of fun.
